For this autumn craft, children from 3 years enjoy creating an adorable fox from small paper plates painted orange. Just cut them out and assemble them on a black card, add a pom-pom, two wiggle eyes, and a few leaf stickers for a seasonal touch.
An easy craft activity, perfect for developing motor skills and creativity related to nature.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a fox, you will need:
- 3 small cardboard plates
- autumn leaf stickers
- one black cardstock
- one brown pom-pom
- 2 googly eyes
- orange paint + a brush
- a pair of scissors
- white glue
- a black paint marker
Step 1:
Start by taking three cardboard plates.
Keep one plate whole for the head, cut another plate to three-quarters to form the body and tail, then cut two small triangles from the last plate to create the ears.
Step 2:
With orange paint, completely paint the plate that will serve as the head.
Paint the ears by outlining them in orange and leaving the inside white. For the belly, only paint the sides in orange and leave the center white. Finally, paint the tail in orange, leaving one end white.
Step 3:
Fold the entire plate to form the fox's snout.
Step 4:
Fold the bottom of the snout and secure everything with white glue.
Step 5:
Glue the brown pompom to the end of the snout to form the nose.
Step 6:
Attach the two painted triangles to the top of the head with glue to form the ears.
Step 7:
Glue the two movable eyes above the snout, then draw small eyelashes with the black marker to give more expression to the face.
Step 8:
First, glue the tail, then the belly, and finally the head of the fox onto the black cardstock.
Step 9:
Finally, decorate the black background with leaf-shaped stickers to create a lovely autumn atmosphere around the fox.
