Discover a Easter craft that will transform a simple polystyrene egg into a funny chicken in a blooming garden. This original decoration can be recreated at school or at home with the children !

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a chicken, you need:
- A polystyrene egg in 2 parts (15 cm)
- A planting beak
- Fabric flowers
- Colored plastic pins
- Colored feathers
- Two movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- A strong red card
- Two skewers
- A hole punch
- A cutting mat
- Gel adhesive dots
- A pair of scissors
Step 1:
Select about 20 fabric flowers and then make a hole in the center of them using a hole punch (and a cutting mat to protect your workspace).
Tip: use the smallest diameter of the hole punch.
Step 2:
Pierce the flowers onto a half styrofoam egg using small colored plastic pins (safe for children).
Step 3:
On the other part of the polystyrene egg, insert 3 colored feathers on each side to form the chicken's wings.
TIP : You can make small holes in the egg with a skewer to insert the feathers more easily.
Step 4:
Glue 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm with adhesive dots.
Step 5:
Insert a beak into the polystyrene.

Step 6:
Cut the hen's crest from a strong red card.
Step 7:
Stick the red crest with adhesive dots.
Step 8:
Insert two skewers into the polystyrene egg to create the legs of the hen.
Step 9:
Finally, trim the length of the skewers with a pair of scissors and then insert them into the floral base.
