Discover a way to decorate small wooden cacti with the kids!
They can then give them to their loved ones (Father's Day / Mother's Day) or simply display them in their rooms!
A simple craft activity because all you need to do is paint and stick on a few small accessories!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a cactus, you need:
- A wooden cactus
- A sticky foam flower
- Adhesive lace ribbon
- Two googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- A strong black cardstock (300 g/m²)
- A white paint marker
- Blue and green paint and a paintbrush
- Adhesive gel dots
- A pair of scissors
Optional:
- Adhesive masking tape.
Step 1:
Paint the wooden cactus in green and blue.
Tip: Stick a piece of masking tape to achieve a clean and precise separation between the colors!
Step 2:
Cross the two pieces of the cactus before the paint dries.
Then let it dry for 20 minutes.
Step 3:
Stick a piece of adhesive lace tape.
Step 4:
Glue a small foam flower.
Step 5:
Attach two movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm with adhesive dots.
Step 6:
Cut out a mouth from a black cardstock and then glue it onto the cactus.
Step 7:
And finally, make small lines on the cactus with a white paint marker.
