Using a plastic cup (translucent), tissue paper, and stickers, we will create a stunning butterfly that can be transformed into a lantern by simply placing an LED candle under the cup.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a glowing butterfly you need:
- a translucent plastic cup
- squares of tissue paper
- glue and a brush
- a colored cardstock
- a pencil
- a pair of scissors
- flower stickers
- 2 movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- a colored caterpillar
- a glue gun
- a black marker
Step 1
Glue tissue paper squares all over the surface of the cup using glue varnish.
Let it dry for about an hour.
Step 2
Place the cup on a colored cardstock, then draw the wings of the butterfly on either side of it.
Cut out the wings following your outline.
Step 3
Decorate the wings with flower stickers.
Step 4
Glue the wings onto the cup as well as 2 movable eyes with a glue gun.
Step 5
Cut a caterpillar in half and then wrap it around a pencil to create a butterfly antenna.
Step 6
Glue the antennas onto the cup with the glue gun.
Step 7
Draw a smile with a black marker.
Step 8
If you wish to transform your butterfly into a pretty lantern, just place an LED candle under the cup.
