Halloween Monsters Made from Corks
Cork stoppers: an essential item to have at home that allows you to create hundreds of different creative activities. Today, we will transform these corks into fun little monsters to make lovely decorations for Halloween.
An easy and affordable activity that will entertain children of all ages !
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make small Halloween monsters you need:
- corks
- acrylic paint (black, white, green, orange)
- a paintbrush
- fine tip POSCA markers
- 30 cm colorful chenille stems
- 1 cm googly eyes
- strong white glue
- screw eyes
- clear thread
Step 1
Paint the caps with acrylic paint.
Spider Stopper
To make a spider, glue 2 movable eyes Ø 1 cm onto the black stopper, draw a mouth with the white POSCA marker, and then insert pieces of chenille on each side of the stopper to create the spider's legs.
Monster Stopper
To make a monster, stick 2 googly eyes Ø 1 cm onto the green stopper, draw the facial features with a black POSCA marker. Insert a piece of chenille on each side of the stopper to create the monster's arms.
Pumpkin Stopper
To make a pumpkin, glue 2 mobile eyes Ø 1 cm on the orange stopper, draw the elements of the "face" with a black POSCA marker. Insert a small piece of chenille at the top of the stopper to create the pumpkin's stem.
Ghost Stopper
To make a ghost, glue 2 movable eyes Ø 1 cm on the white stopper, draw the elements of the "face" with a black POSCA marker. Insert a piece of chenille on each side of the stopper to create the ghost's arms.
Hanging Little Monsters
What if we made the little monsters float in the air?
To do this, screw a hook at the top of the cap to be able to hang it in the house using a transparent thread.
