Discover an easy craft for kids this summer: build a marine lighthouse using a cardboard cup, a LED candle, paper, and treasures found at the beach!
Using shells and stones collected from the shore, children will have fun with the family creating their own luminous lighthouse. This creative activity will spark their curiosity about lighthouses and their essential role in maritime navigation.
A simple craft suitable for children aged 5 and up, let your imagination shine like the light beam of our homemade marine lighthouse!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Matériel :
Pour réaliser un phare il faut :
- un gobelet en carton
- un rondin de bois Ø 8 à 11 cm
- du masking tape rouge
- du sable à modeler
- des motifs "La mer " en bois décoré
- une bougie L.E.D.
- du papier calque
- du papier épais rouge
- un marqueur noir
- une paire de ciseaux
- une agrafeuse
- un cutter circulaire
- des petits cailloux ou coquillages
Step 1:
To begin, stick red masking tape strips onto the cup to create the base of the lighthouse.
Step 2:
Cut a rectangle of approximately 5 x 20 cm from tracing paper, then staple it to create a roll.
Step 3:
From thick red paper, cut out a circle of about Ø 8.5 cm, then cut out a small wedge. Next, gather the two corners and staple them together to form a small hat.
Tip: Place a cutting mat under the sheet to avoid damaging the table.
Step 4:
Cover a wooden log with sand and plant the cup in it.
Step 5:
Place the candle on the cup, then lay the tracing paper around the candle.
Step 6:
Next, place the small hat on the cup, and draw a door and windows with a black permanent marker.
Step 7:
Finally, plant wooden sea shapes, pebbles, and seashells collected from the shore in the sand.
