Marble Effect Coasters
Decorate these cardboard coasters with the magical marble effect paint! Also known as "marbling", this paint is not applied with a brush; it should be placed in a basin of water, where it will float on the surface. Then, immerse a cardboard object into the water; it also works on wood or paper!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
the materials
For this activity, you will need :
- a basin of water
- marbling paint
- cardboard coasters
- a wooden skewer
- a bit of sticky dough (like patafix)
Step 1
In the basin of water, pour a few drops of paint, alternating colors. The more paint you add, the brighter the colors will be.
Step 2
With the skewer, make back-and-forth movements in the water to create marbled effects.
Etape 3
Put patafix on a coaster, and insert a skewer into it; this will allow you to immerse the coaster in water without getting your hands dirty.
Step 4
Place the coaster on the water, and before removing it, blow on the water to remove the excess paint.
Step 5
Let dry for about 30 minutes. Then apply a glazing varnish for a nice shiny effect. Let dry.
