Small Paper Pumpkins
Discover a simple folding technique that will allow children to create beautiful small paper pumpkins for Halloween.
An easy and cost-effective activity!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Etape 1.
Here is the list of materials needed to make a paper pumpkin:
- 3 sheets of paper 130 gr/m² (orange, black, and green)
- 2 googly eyes Ø 25 mm
- String / thread
- A pair of scissors
- Double-sided adhesive tape
Etape 2.
Cut a strip of orange paper approximately 10 x 30 cm.
Etape 3.
Fold this strip of paper in an accordion style with widths of about 2 cm.
Etape 4.
Fold both ends in half to create a "butterfly".
Etape 5.
Stick a strip of double-sided tape as shown in the photo, then stick the two sides together.
Etape 6.
Reproduce step 5 from the other side.
Etape 7.
Place a small piece of self-adhesive tape on each side of the center fold to secure everything.
Etape 8.
At this stage, you should have a nice circle like the one in the photo on the right.
Etape 9.
Cut out the mouth of the pumpkin from a black sheet.
Etape 10.
Cut out the teeth using a pair of scissors.
Tip: triangular teeth are easier to cut out!
Etape 11.
Also cut the pumpkin's tail from a green leaf and its small nose from a black leaf.
Etape 12.
Stick the pumpkin face elements using double-sided tape.
Etape 13.
To hang your pumpkin, make a small hole at the back of it (behind the stem) and then thread a cord through the hole.
Etape 14.
Your little paper pumpkin is finished!
