These large sheets of colored paper have a fine weight, making them easy to handle. They are ideal for children who can easily cut and fold them. Bright colors that are resistant to light and sun.
What is grammage?
Grammage refers to the weight of the paper; the thicker the sheet, the heavier it is. A very thin sheet, like printer paper, weighs on average 80 g, while tracing paper weighs 40 g. Starting from 150 grams, the paper becomes a bit sturdier, achieving true rigidity at 400 grams. The thicker the paper, the more durable it is, which is why heavy grammage paper is used for wet techniques (gouache, watercolor) to minimize warping.
A little help to choose your paper wisely:
- Between 60 g and 200 g: drawing, sketching paper
- From 200 g: drawing, ink, and gouache painting
- From 270 g: ideal for water-based paints (watercolor, acrylic)
