A pair of scissors, some pretty papers, glue, and a canvas board, and you're ready to go!
Children will love this colorful activity that combines cutting and gluing.
Gluing the cut geometric shapes will encourage the children's thinking to organize the arrangement of the canvas. This activity will help children structure their thoughts by methodically organizing their ideas.
For this activity, don't hesitate to use a large canvas board!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create an abstract triangle board you will need:
- a canvas (size of your choice)
- strong patterned cardstock
- glitter cardstock
- glue
- a glue brush
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cut out triangles of various sizes and shapes from patterned cardstock and glitter cardstock.
Step 2
Varnish part of the surface of the canvas cardboard with a glue varnish and a wide brush.
Step 3
Place your triangles on the glued part of the canvas board.
For a nice result, it is preferable to leave a small white space between the triangles. They should be close to each other but should not touch.
Step 4
Varnish-glue the white areas of the canvas cardboard and then fill your board by sticking the paper triangles.
To fill in the gaps, you will most likely need to re-cut some triangles to the correct dimensions!
