Natural wood or MDF round boards for creating a frame, mirror, can be painted with acrylic paint, gouache, covered with Decopatch papers, mosaics, or any type of creative collages! These supports are versatile and will suit a wide range of activities; choose the size that best fits your project!
Differences Between Wood and MDF:
- Wood: natural material, light color ideal for painting or varnish-collage activities. Lighter than MDF. Surfaces may vary depending on the knots naturally present in the wood cut. Very beautiful natural appearance. Material can be painted and varnished.
- MDF: material made of reconstituted wood fibers. Smooth and homogeneous surface, dark brown color (similar to cardboard color). Porous surface that requires a layer of Gesso (opaque white primer) before painting. Stronger than natural wood, MDF is recommended for collage activities (such as mosaics, shells, wood, sand...). Resistant to temperature changes, do not use for outdoor decoration as MDF does not withstand contact with water. Material can be painted and varnished.
