Wooden Supports

The support is the starting point for most creative wood projects. Flat shapes to paint, cut-out silhouettes, objects to assemble, or raw pieces to customize: the choice of support determines both the technique used and the final result. Flat supports, silhouettes, and cut-outs

The flat wooden supports are the most versatile family: geometric shapes, animal silhouettes, letters, seasonal patterns, cut-outs to assemble. Easy to handle, they are particularly well-suited for workshops with children, where everyone leaves with their finished creation. On these supports, all techniques are possible. Acrylic paint remains the most common, but varnish-gluing patterned papers, adhesive papers, mosaics, or pebbles allow for very different results from the same shape. Raw wood or MDF medium: what’s the difference?

The raw wood retains its grain and natural color. It is suitable for creations where the material remains visible, with a simple varnish or a transparent paint applied.

The MDF medium offers a smooth and uniform surface, ideal for opaque painting and precise patterns. It requires little preparation and gives a very even result.

Some supports are designed to become useful objects once personalized.
