Autumn Snail
Discover an easy activity themed around autumn that children can start doing from the age of 3.
Using wood slices, some paper, and stickers, children will utilize gluing and cutting techniques to create a beautiful snail under a shower of autumn-colored leaves.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
For this activity, you will need:
- a medium wood support 20 x 20 cm
- small wooden discs
- a wooden log
- a colored cardstock
- leaf stickers
- googly eyes Ø 18 mm
- white glue
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Glue small wooden discs at the bottom of the square support.
Note: You can paint the wooden support in the color of your choice before gluing the wooden discs!
Step 2
Place the wooden log Ø 10 cm on a sturdy colored card and then draw the body of the snail.
Step 3
Cut the body of the snail along with 2 small antennae and then glue everything onto the wooden support.
Glue the wooden log that will form the shell of the snail.
Step 4
Glue 2 movable eyes and then draw a smile.
Step 5
Decorate the background of the board with leaf stickers to achieve a beautiful autumn-themed decoration.
