Big-Eyed Spiders

To make big-eyed spiders you will need:

- half balls made of polystyrene (assorted Ø)

- small balls made of polystyrene (assorted Ø)

- black paint and a paintbrush

- a white paint marker

- black chenille stems

- monster eye stickers

- "bee" beads

- a glue gun

- a pair of scissors

- wooden skewers

Paint a large half-sphere (Ø 10 cm) made of polystyrene with black paint.

Tip: Insert a skewer under the half-sphere to paint without getting your fingers dirty!

This step is for adults only:

Once the paint is dry, glue 2 small polystyrene balls (Ø 3 cm) onto the half-ball using a glue gun.

Step may be reserved for adults:

Put a small dot of glue on each ball and then stick on 2 monster eye stickers.

Use a skewer to make 8 holes on the sides of the half-sphere (4 on one side, 4 on the other).

These holes will make it easier to create the 8 legs of the spider.

Cut 4 caterpillars in half to obtain 8 small caterpillars of 15 cm.

Insert the caterpillars into the holes and then shape them to create the legs of the spider.

Thread some pretty striped beads onto the spider's legs to add a splash of color to your creation.

Draw the spider's mouth with a white paint marker.

You can also create smaller spiders using the different sizes of half-balls and balls included in the pouches!
