For your Halloween children activities, the kids will create a beautiful grimoire filled with delicious candies!
This creative activity will help children develop their ability to measure, trace, cut, and glue pieces of paper accurately.
Here is an original decoration that children can bring out each year and fill with candies before Halloween.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create a lovely grimoire, you will need:
- a cardboard box with drawers
- Halloween patterned papers
- burlap strips
- adhesive rhinestone strips (or cabochons)
- spiders
- pumpkin stickers
- alphabet stickers
- solid gouache sticks
- a glue stick
- a glue gun
- a ruler, a pencil, and a pair of scissors
Step 1
Take the measurements of the box, cut out, and then stick 2 patterned paper strips to decorate the front of the grimoire.
Leave about 6 cm between the 2 paper strips.
Step 2
On another patterned sheet of paper, cut out and stick a strip to cover the edge of the box.
Step 3
Decorate the inside of the box with patterned paper.
Step 4
Cut a strip of burlap measuring 56 cm and then glue it onto the edge of the box using a hot glue gun.
Step 5
Attach a spider to the edge of the box on the white area, as well as 2 other spiders on the top of the box.
Step 6
Decorate the white area with adhesive rhinestone strips and stickers.
Here we have written "Grimoire", but the children can also personalize the front with a name.
Step 7
Color the front face of the drawers of the box with solid poster paint sticks.
Complete the decoration by sticking pumpkin stickers on the drawers.
Step 8
Fill the drawers with delicious sweets.
A real treat for kids!
