How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a turtle with bubble wrap, you will need:
- bubble wrap
- a round wooden base
- a thick green sheet
- scissors
- a marker
- a paintbrush
- a small cup
- a rotary cutter
- googly eyes
Step 1:
To begin, paint the wooden circle green.
Step 2:
Cut out 4 circles of 3 cm, 1 circle of 5 cm, and a triangle of about 2.5 cm for the turtle's tail from the green sheet.
Tip: use a circular cutter for more precision when completing this step.
Step 3:
Glue the 4 circles of 3 cm to the wooden base to form the legs, the circle of 5 cm to create the head, and the triangle to make the body of the turtle.
Step 4:
Add googly eyes and draw a smile with a marker.
Step 5:
Cut a circle of bubble wrap to the size of the backing and glue it onto the wooden backing.
Step 6:
Put green paint in a dish and let the child paint on the bubble wrap.
Adapt the activity to the child's age by allowing them to paint with a brush or dip their fingers in the paint to explore textures.
