Christmas Reindeer Hanging Decoration with a Large Wooden Bead
Using large wooden beads, we will create cute little reindeer to hang on the Christmas tree!
An easy and original creative activity to do with children this winter.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a hanging reindeer, you will need:
- a wooden bead Ø 4 cm
- satin cord
- a mini pompom with ring
- striped cube beads
- a brown pipe cleaner
- a fabric bow
- 2 googly eyes Ø 1 cm
- a mini pompom
- gel adhesive dots
- a pair of scissors
- a black marker
Step 1
Cut a piece of satin cord about 30 cm long.
Thread a colored mini pompom with a ring, then pass both ends of the cord through a cubic bead.
Step 2
Thread the large wooden bead Ø 4 cm then finish with a second cubic bead.
Step 3
Make a first knot above the cubic bead, then a second to close it all.
Step 4
Cut a 15 cm piece of brown chenille and then wrap it between the large wooden bead and the cube bead.
Step 5
Cut 2 small pieces of pipe cleaner (about 5 cm) and wrap them around the large pipe cleaner to finish the reindeer's antlers.
Step 6
Attach a bow tie at the top of the wooden bead using a gel adhesive dot.
Step 7
Still using gel adhesive dots, stick 2 moveable eyes Ø 1 cm and a small red pom-pom to create the reindeer's nose.
Step 8
Draw the reindeer's mouth with a black marker.
