Spider with a Styrofoam Pumpkin
In this Halloween kids craft, we will learn how to make spiders using Styrofoam pumpkins, pom poms, and plenty of adhesive eyes.
An ideal creative activity to share a little moment with family as this beloved holiday approaches at 10doigts !
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a spider, you need:
- a small Styrofoam pumpkin
- black acrylic paint and a brush
- adhesive googly eyes
- four black chenille sticks
- a pair of scissors
Step 1:
Paint a polystyrene pumpkin with black paint and let it dry for about 20 minutes.
TIP: Stick the pumpkin on a wooden skewer so you can paint it and let it dry without getting your fingers dirty!
Step 2:
Glue on adhesive wiggle eyes in varying sizes for a spooky effect!
Step 3:
Cut eight pieces of chenille measuring approximately 11 cm.
Step 4:
Insert the eight pieces into the polystyrene pumpkin.
Step 5:
Finally, shape the caterpillars to form the 8 legs of the spider.
