Father Christmas Elf - Easy Folding
Discover an easy folding activity that will allow children to create adorable Christmas elves!
To complete the activity, children will use stickers to add beautiful touches of color to their creations.
An easy craft to enjoy generously during the end-of-year festivities.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a gnome, you will need:
- a piece of Christmas patterned origami paper (20 x 20 cm)
- a sheet of thick white cardstock (A4 - 300 g/m²)
- round stickers
- Christmas ball stickers
- star stickers
- 2 googly eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- a fabric bow
- adhesive dots
- a black marker
Step 1
Place the origami paper with the solid side facing up and then fold the paper in half diagonally.
Note: we used a sheet of paper with a colored side on the front and a patterned side on the back for a nice effect.
Step 2
Make 2 folds as shown in the photo, following the center fold.
Step 3
Fold the edges as shown in the photo to create the brim of the elf's hat.
Step 4
Fold the tip of the hat.
Step 5
Glue the elf onto a strong white card (A4) using adhesive dots, then stick on 2 googly eyes.
Step 6
Stick on round stickers:
- on the tip of the hat to create the pompom
- below the eyes to create the nose and cheeks.
Step 7
Draw a nice smile using a black marker.
Step 8
Stick a fabric bow with a sticky dot.
Step 9
Decorate the background of the board with star stickers and Christmas balls.
