Festive Candle Holders
Make candle holders using air-drying modeling clay, and decorate them with shiny sequins to insert into the clay. This is an easy activity that will allow you to create unique candle holders that will enhance your festive table!
Practical Info: With 1 kg of clay, you can make about 6 to 7 candle holders (depending on the desired thickness).
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
You will need 1 kg of terracotta air-drying clay, cookie cutters, a rolling pin, and sequins.
Step 1
Roll out the dough evenly with the rolling pin to create a sheet about 1 cm thick.
Step 2
Cut out the shape of your choice with the cookie cutter.
Step 3
Place a tealight candle in the center of the shape and press down to create a spot in the dough..
Step 4
Push the sequins into the dough and cover the surface.
Step 5
Let it dry for 24 hours before using your candlestick.
