Round Modeling Chicks
Complete this super simple tutorial with GIOTTO air-drying clay! Suitable for all ages, this activity is especially enjoyable during the Easter holidays, where children can create a decoration for the home with minimal materials.
GIOTTO air-drying clay is easy to shape, soft, and once dry, can be decorated with paint.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Step 1
Divide the modeling clay into 12 portions to make 12 chicks.
With 1 portion, shape an egg-like ball for the body, and add a small beak with a dab of clay.
Etape 2
Using a pair of sharp scissors, cut the beak in half.
Step 3
Using the tip of a pencil or the back of a fine brush, carve out the 2 eyes in the dough.
Step 4
Plant 2 or 3 feathers at the back depending on the desired effect. Then let the chick dry for about 24 hours.
Step 5
Using a black marker, color the inside of the eyes, then use the red marker to paint the beak (you can also use acrylic paint).
Apply a coat of varnish when the paint is dry to make your creation shine and protect it from dust.
