Using the footprint of your little artists and modeling dough, we will create colorful snowmen to hang on the tree!
A simple Christmas activity that allows children to take part in decorating the tree!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a Snowman, you will need:
- White modeling clay (air-drying)
- Modeling tools
- A rolling pin
- Colored pom-poms
- Two moving eyes Ø 1.8 cm
- Twigs
- Black plastic buttons
- Christmas ribbons
- Green and orange 3D paint pens
- String
- A glue gun
- A pair of scissors
- A crafting mat
Step 1:
To begin, roll out the white modeling dough using a rolling pin, maintaining a dough thickness of about 1 cm.
Tip: To protect your work surface, you can use a plastic modeling mat.
Step 2:
Place your child's foot on the dough and then outline it using a marker.
Next, cut out the footprint by removing the excess modeling dough and then make a hole at the base of the foot (so it can be hung).
Step 3:
Then insert two wooden twigs into the modeling clay to form the arms of the snowman.
Then let the clay dry until the next day.
Step 4:
Glue the two moveable eyes with a glue gun.
Step 5:
Cut a mega caterpillar and glue it to the edge like this.
Step 6:
Then glue two colored pom poms.
Step 7:
To make the snowman's scarf, cut a piece of ribbon and tie it around the snowman.
Then glue it on with a hot glue gun.
Step 8:
Glue two black plastic buttons.
Step 9:
Draw the nose and mouth of the snowman using 3D paint pens (orange for the nose and green for the mouth)
Step 10:
And finally, attach a string to be able to hang the little man on the Christmas tree.
