In this activity, we will show you how to make an original Christmas ornament featuring the child's name, fingerprints, and a lovely photo of the children!
- The first side showcases a heart illustrated with the fingerprints of the children.
- The second side displays a nice keepsake photo.
In addition to decorating the tree beautifully, these ornaments will also be wonderful keepsakes that the children will look back on fondly in a few years.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create personalized Christmas ornaments, you will need:
- a plastic ball Ø 5 cm (comes with paper insert and string)
- ink pads
- fabric bows
- adhesive rhinestone strips
- a pair of scissors
- adhesive dots
- a glue stick
- a photo
Step 1
On a paper insert (included with the plastic balls), create a heart using your index finger's fingerprint.
To do this, press your index finger onto an ink pad and make 2 overlapping prints to form a heart.
Step 2
Write a first name using a fine-tip marker.
Step 3
Flip the paper insert, cut it out, and then glue a photo.
You can, for example, use a passport photo.
Step 4
Place the decorated paper insert into the plastic ball.
Step 5
Stick 2 adhesive rhinestone strips around the ball to add a nice shiny touch!
Step 6
Stick a pretty fabric bow onto the ball using an adhesive dot.
Step 7
Attach a string so that you can hang the ball on the tree.
