With a plastic cup, some sticks, and a few accessories, we will create an adorable Santa Claus. The transparency of the cup combined with an LED candle will transform this Santa Claus into a true luminous decoration for the home, adding a warm and festive touch to your interior.
The kids will love making his soft beard using cotton balls! This activity is not only fun but also a great way to develop the dexterity of your little artists.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create a luminous Santa Claus, you will need:
- a translucent plastic cup
- 10 wooden sticks (11.4 cm)
- a small Santa hat
- a pom-pom
- adhesive googly eyes
- cotton balls
- a powerful LED candle
- nano tape (or double-sided adhesive foam)
- white adhesive lace
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Align 5 wooden sticks and then glue them together using 2 pieces of nano tape (the first placed at the top, the second at the bottom of the sticks).
Step 2
Remove the protective film from the nano tape and then stick a second row of 5 sticks.
Step 3
Place a small hat on the wooden sticks.
Tip: Place a piece of nano tape under the brim of the hat to stick it.
Step 4
Stick 2 googly eyes and a small red pom-pom with a piece of nano tape.
Step 5
Stick 2 pieces of nano tape on the lower part of the wooden sticks, then remove the protective film.
Step 6
Fray cotton balls and then glue them onto the nano tape to create Santa's beard.
Step 7
Stick a piece of nano tape onto the inverted cup to secure Santa's head.
Step 8
Decorate the bottom of the cup with a strip of white adhesive lace.
Step 9
Place a powerful LED candle under the cup to illuminate Santa Claus for the year-end celebrations.
