How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- a printable pumpkin template (click here)
- orange balloons
- glass marbles
- green caterpillars
- a pair of scissors
- adhesive dots
- small elastics
Optional: a balloon pump
Step 1
Insert a glass marble into an orange balloon.
Note: The weighting system with the marble will enable the balloon to stand up as if by magic.
Step 2
Place the marble at the bottom of the balloon, holding it tightly with an elastic band (wrap it multiple times).
Step 3
Flip the balloon to place the marble and the elastic inside.
Step 4
Inflate the balloon (up to 20 cm) and then tie a knot.
Practical, the balloon will stay in place thanks to the weight of the marble!
Tip: Children can use a pump to inflate the balloons easily!
Step 6
Stick the cut-out elements onto the pumpkin using adhesive dots.
Step 7
Wrap a green caterpillar around a pencil to form the pumpkin's tail.
Step 8
Attach the green chenille to the end of the balloon.
Be careful not to pop the balloon with the metallic end of the chenille!
Step 9
