How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To create a beautiful lantern, you will need:
- a glass jar (240 ml)
- a wooden log (Ø 8 to 11 cm)
- small wooden sticks (5.5 cm)
- a wooden heart
- adhesive wooden ladybugs
- white adhesive lace
- double-sided adhesive tape (3.5 cm wide)
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cut a piece of double-sided tape, stick it all around the glass jar, and then remove the protective lining.
Note: choose a wide double-sided tape (at least 3 cm)!
Step 2
Decorate the glass jar by gluing small wooden sticks onto the adhesive surface.
Note: You will need about 36 sticks to cover the jar.
Step 3
Cut a piece of adhesive lace measuring 25 cm and then stick it to the top part of the wooden sticks.
Step 4
Glue a wooden heart with a hot glue gun.
Step 5
Glue the glass jar to the center of a wooden log using the glue gun to create a lovely base for the candle holder.
Step 6
Decorate the base with small wooden adhesive ladybugs.
Step 7
Place an LED candle or a tealight candle in the glass jar to illuminate this lovely lantern.
