Materials:
To make a photo holder, you will need:
- air-dry modeling clay
- heart-shaped cookie cutters
- acrylic markers
- a bowl of water
- a ruler
- a nice photo
- a protective mat
Step 1:
Shape a ball of modeling dough with your hands.
The size of the ball will depend on the size of the chosen cookie cutter; the larger the heart, the more dough will be needed.
Step 2:
Gently flatten the ball with the palm of your hand, while keeping the same thickness everywhere.
Step 3:
Press the chosen cookie cutter onto the dough to shape a lovely heart. Then gently remove the excess dough to reveal the shape.
Step 4:
Using a ruler, draw a small straight slit at the top of the heart; this will allow you to insert a photo.
Step 5:
Dip your finger in water, then gently smooth the edges and irregularities. This step will help prevent cracks and give a clean finish.
Then let the heart air dry for 48 hours.
Step 6:
Using acrylic markers, personalize the heart by creating patterns or by writing sweet little messages...
