How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make this lovely gift, you will need:
- a keychain kit with pencils (containing 6 wooden pencils and 6 colored rings)
- acrylic markers
- pastel beads and thread
- colorful suede pom-poms
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Decorate a wooden pencil with acrylic markers.
Tip: Acrylic markers are very opaque and make it easy to decorate wood.
Step 2
Customize the pencil with a short message for the person who will receive the key ring.
Step 3
Attach a colored ring to the wooden pencil.
Step 4
Attach an elastic cord (included with the pastel beads) to the ring, then thread 8 to 10 colored beads onto the cord.
Step 5
Attach a suede pompom to the cord, then tie a double knot to finish the keyring.
Cut the excess thread with a pair of scissors.
Step 6
