In this creative activity, we will make a colorful keychain adorned with a personalized message, a unique creation that is sure to bring a smile.
The children will have the opportunity to think about the message they wish to convey using colored letters. It can be a simple "Thank You", an inspiring quote, or a sweet note expressing their affection.
This colorful and personalized keychain can then be given to their teacher, teaching assistant, or caregiver... as a sign of recognition and gratitude for the entire year spent together.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make this keychain you will need:
- a carabiner with a ring
- transparent nylon thread Ø 0.5 mm
- small gold beads
- alphabet beads
- fruit beads
- a long colorful pompom
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cut a piece of nylon thread about 40 cm long, then fold it in half.
Pass the loop through the metal ring, then pass both ends of the thread through the loop and pull to attach the thread to the ring.
Step 2
Prepare the alphabet beads that will be used to write the personalized message. Here we have chosen "super teacher" which will be written on 2 different threads.
Thread the golden beads and the alphabet beads onto the 2 ends of the nylon thread.
Step 3
Attach a second thread to the ring so you can write the second part of the message.
Step 4
Attach a third thread to the ring to string fruit beads for a beautiful touch of color.
Step 5
Attach a colored pom-pom to the ring to finish the keychain.
