Ladybug Pencil Holder

To make a ladybug pencil holder, you will need:

- white air-dry modeling clay

- acrylic paint and a paintbrush

- 2 movable eyes Ø 12 mm

- strong white glue

- a plastic ruler

- a white paint marker

- a pencil

- a small container with water

With air-drying white modeling clay, create 8 balls:

- one ball of approximately 8 cm for the body of the ladybug

- one ball of 3 to 4 cm for the head of the ladybug

- 6 balls of 1 cm for the spots on the back of the ladybug

For a smooth and even finish, dip a finger in water and then smooth the surface of the modeling clay with that finger.

Gently flatten the largest ball of modeling dough with the palm of your hand, then make a mark in the center of the ball with a plastic ruler.

This will help distinguish the two wings of the ladybug.

Slightly flatten the 4 cm dough ball and then moisten the flattest side with water before attaching it to the body of the ladybug.

Once the ladybug's head is attached to the body, insert 2 wooden matches into it to create the ladybug's antennas.

Flatten the 6 small balls of modeling clay and then moisten the flattest side before sticking them onto the body of the ladybug.

Take a standard-sized colored pencil and then insert it into each of the spots on the ladybug to create the holes for the pencil holder.

Then let the dough dry for 24 to 48 hours (depending on the size of your ladybug).

Once the dough is dry, paint the ladybug with acrylic paint.

Glue 2 mobile eyes of 12 mm with strong white glue, then draw a smile using a white paint marker.

All you have to do is place your favorite pencils in the holes and set the ladybug on your desk or elsewhere in the house!
