With a plastic globe, we will create a lovely ladybug that you can illuminate using an LED candle. An easy craft where children will learn the technique of decoupage using tissue paper.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a glowing ladybug you need!
- a plastic globe
- red tissue paper
- glue varnish
- a glue gun
- a polystyrene ball Ø 5 cm
- paint and a paint marker (black)
- googly eyes
- a black caterpillar
- adhesive lace (green)
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
- a brush for varnishing / painting
- a wooden skewer
- an LED candle
Step 1
Cut about twenty squares of red tissue paper measuring approximately 4 x 4 cm.
Step 2
Apply a layer of glue varnish on the plastic globe and then stick the squares of tissue paper all over the surface. Apply another layer of glue varnish on each square that you stick on the globe.
Let it dry for a few hours.
Step 3
Insert a 5 cm Ø polystyrene ball on a wooden stick and then paint it black.
The wooden stick will allow you to paint without getting your fingers dirty!
Step 4
Once the paint is dry, stick a pair of funny eyes into the ball to create the ladybug's head.
Step 5
Cut 2 pieces of chenille about 7 cm long to create the ladybug's antennae.
Insert the chenille pieces into the polystyrene ball and then wrap the ends.
Step 6
Glue the ladybug's head onto the plastic globe using a glue gun.
Step 7
Decorate the globe using a paint marker to make black dots.
Step 8
Decorate the globe's lid with green adhesive lace.
Step 9
Place a LED candle inside the lid and then screw it back on to illuminate the ladybug.
