Glow-in-the-Dark Fireflies

To make a firefly, you will need:

- a plastic tube

- a wooden heart (10 cm)

- solid gouache sticks

- a chenille

- 2 adhesive googly eyes (Ø 1 cm)

- a glow bracelet

- a black marker

- a pair of scissors

- nano tape

Paint the wooden heart with a solid poster paint stick.

Tip: solid poster paint dries very quickly!

Stick a piece of nano tape at the center of the wooden heart.

Glue the plastic tube onto the heart (the tip of the heart pointing towards the end of the tube).

Wrap a pipe cleaner around the cap and then shape the pipe cleaner to create the firefly's antennas.

Glue on 2 googly eyes and then draw a small smile with a black permanent marker.

Tip: for easier use by children, you can remove the outline from the rhinestone sticker sheets!

Decorate the firefly's wings with flower rhinestone stickers.

"Snap" a glow stick and then shake it to distribute the fluorescent liquid evenly along its entire length.

Fold the glow stick in half and then insert it into the plastic tube.

Note: If you want to hang the glowing fireflies in the children's room, you can simply stick a piece of nano tape to the back of the wooden heart!

Turn off the light to admire the result in the dark!

These little fireflies can make lovely night lights to place in children's rooms.
