Martin the Shark
Discover this adorable ocean craft to recreate at home with the kids!
With a little paper, some poster paint, and pretty stickers, we will show you how to make a shark with a special touch: an underwater background!
A fun and easy summer activity for children where they can express their creativity using poster paint!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
For this activity, you will need:
- a shark silhouette to download/print
- a sturdy white and beige cardstock (A4 - 300 g/m²)
- solid gouache sticks (light blue, dark blue, white, and purple)
- fish stickers
- a mobile eye Ø 2.5 cm
- a pair of scissors
- adhesive foam tape
- a sturdy cardstock base
Step 1:
Create the background of the drawing on a strong white A4 card, by making stripes with a dark blue poster paint stick.
Step 2:
Apply a layer using light blue and purple solid poster paint sticks.
Step 3:
Next, draw waves with a solid white poster paint stick.
Step 4:
Print our model by clicking here, then cut out the shark silhouette by following the contours.
Step 5:
Stick the silhouette in the center of the drawing using adhesive foam tape.
The adhesive foam tape will create a nice 3D effect.
Step 6:
Stick small fish stickers around Martin the shark, leaving an space of about 5 cm at the bottom of the drawing.
Step 7:
Glue a 2.5 cm Ø googly eye with a small piece of adhesive foam tape.
Step 8:
Tear a strip of beige paper about 4 cm wide and then stick it with adhesive foam tape.
A nice effect to imitate sand.
Step 9:
Practical: to display the children's creations, you can use our cardboard supports to glue on the back of the artwork !
