Mummy Candy Bag
In this activity, we will transform a paper bag into a mummy to collect candy on Halloween night.
By simply using masking tape and half foam balls, children will have fun creating these silly mummies with big eyes.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a scary candy bag, you will need:
- a small kraft paper bag
- polystyrene half-balls (assorted Ø)
- masking tape
- a black cardstock
- monster eye stickers
- bat stickers
- a black caterpillar
- a pair of scissors
- a tube of strong white glue
Step 1
Cut pieces of masking tape and then stick them on the paper bag to create the mummy's bandage.
Step 2
Cut off the excess masking tape using a pair of scissors.
Step 3
Cut small pieces of black pipe cleaner and insert them into 2 half foam balls (Ø 4 and/or 6 cm).
Step 4
Glue the half-balls onto the bag with strong white glue, then stick colorful eyes in the center of the half-balls.
Add a dot of glue beneath the eye stickers to ensure a lasting hold.
Step 5
Cut out the mouth of the mummy from a piece of black cardstock and glue it onto the paper bag.
Step 6
Glue small bats onto the bag for a nice finish.
Add a dot of glue under the bats for a lasting hold.
