In this craft project, they will need to decorate a cone with paint and a round base with mosaic stickers to bring a funny snail to life!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a funny snail, you need:
- a round wooden base (Ø 10 cm)
- a wooden base with a slot
- a small polystyrene cone (11 cm)
- yellow acrylic paint and a brush
- rubber mosaic stickers
- a yellow caterpillar
- googly eyes
- adhesive rhinestones
- a black marker
- a tube of glue
- a pair of scissors
- a skewer
Step 1
Paint the polystyrene cone with yellow acrylic paint and let it dry for about 45 minutes.
Tip: Insert the cone onto a wooden stick to paint without getting your hands dirty!
Step 2
Glue spiral mosaic stickers onto the round wooden base to create the snail's shell.
Step 3
Decorate the edge of the small wooden support with a slot using colorful adhesive gems.
Step 4
Cut two pieces of 10 cm from a yellow pipe cleaner, twist the ends, and insert them at the top of the polystyrene cone.
Step 5
Plant the snail's eyes in the polystyrene cone.
Step 6
Draw a nice little smile with a black marker.
Step 7
Insert the snail shell into the slot of the wooden stand.
Step 8
Glue the cone onto the wooden base to complete your creation.
