Personalized Gingerbread Man for the Christmas Tree
Using air-dry modeling clay in terracotta color, a white 3D paint pen, googly eyes, and a stamp ruler, children will create an adorable personalized gingerbread man with their name (not edible!). A modeling and personalization activity, perfect for a unique Christmas decoration.

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
For this activity, you will need:
- a printable gingerbread template
- air-drying modeling clay in terracotta color
- a rolling pin
- modeling accessories
- 2 adhesive wiggle eyes Ø 10 mm
- 1 white 3D paint pen
- a stamp roller with letters
- golden cord
- a protective mat
- a pair of scissors
Step 2:
Roll out a ball of terracotta modeling dough to approximately 20 x 15 cm and 5 mm thickness using a roller, on a protective mat.
Note: With 1 kg of dough, make approximately 10 figures.
Step 3:
Place the paper template on the rolled-out dough.
Trace and then cut out the shape of the figure using a modeling tool.
Step 4:
Drill a small hole at the top of the character's head using a pointed tool.
Step 5:
Place the letters on the stamping ruler to form the desired first name or word.
Note: You can personalize these balls with names up to 8 letters long.
Step 6:
Stamp the first name onto the dough by pressing regularly.
Tip: Do a test on a piece of dough to check the orientation of the letters.
Step 7:
Use the white 3D paint pen to draw decorations: zigzags, buttons, smiley faces, etc.
Step 8:
Glue 2 adhesive wiggle eyes Ø 10 mm onto the face.
Step 9:
Cut a piece of gold cord, thread it through the hole, and tie a knot to enable hanging.
Step 10:
Let the figure dry until the next day before hanging it up or giving it as a gift.
