Create these beautiful earrings with colorful patterns using printable plastic shrink sheets. A revolution in making plastic shrink jewelry, these white sheets allow you to print any designs or photos of your choice to make unique jewelry with a stunning finish.
Here you can find a sheet of 4 A4 sheets featuring the patterns used in this tutorial. All you need to do is print these designs on your plastic shrink sheets "printer-friendly" (preferably inkjet), and follow this step-by-step guide!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Step 1
Place the plastic sheets in the printer to print your designs on them.
Note: Print on the rough side of the sheet.
Step 2
To make a pair of earrings: punch 2 holes using a round punch with a diameter of 7.6 cm.
Step 3
Repeat the same operation with the 5 cm diameter hole punch.
Step 4
Then, using a small punch, pierce holes in the circles where you will attach them: 1 hole at the bottom of the large discs, and 1 hole at the top of the smaller discs.
Step 5
Preheat the oven to 150°C. Once the oven is at temperature, place your crazy plastic items on a baking sheet and let them bake for 2 minutes.
Remove the items from the oven, and place them under a heavy object (book) to make sure they are flat.
Step 6
All the crazy plastic elements have shrunk to at least 3 times smaller, and the plastic has thickened after being placed in the oven.
Step 7
You can now glue an earring hook to the back of the small discs and join the discs together using a metal jump ring and a pair of pliers.
There you go, the earrings are finished.
