Here is a video tutorial on how to make a protective mask without a sewing machine.
Washing and care: The complete wash cycle for your mask (wetting, washing, rinsing) should last at least 30 minutes at a washing temperature of 60°C. Duration of mask wear: 4 hours.
You will need:
- 2 elastics measuring 15 cm in length (we suggest using round elastic Ø 1mm instead of flat elastic; you can double it for more comfort)
- 1 piece of 100% cotton fabric - dimensions: 16 × 30 cm
- thread and 1 needle
Dimensions of the S size mask: 14 x 7 cm
This mask is only an additional protection to barrier gestures; it is not subject to approval. However, this alternative mask serves as a barrier to limit the spread of droplets.
This device is neither a medical device as defined by Regulation EU/2017/745 (surgical masks) nor personal protective equipment as defined by Regulation EU/2016/425 (FFP2 type filtering masks).
