Wool Pom Pom Birds

To make a bird you will need:

- A ball of colored yarn

- A tool to make pom poms

- Two googly eyes Ø 1.8 cm

- Some colored adhesive felt

- A tube of white glue

- A pair of precision scissors.

Wrap the colored wool around the 9 cm pompom making tool (or smaller if you wish to make a smaller bird).

For a nice fluffy pompom, feel free to wrap until you achieve about 1 to 2 cm thickness of wool around the pompom tool.

Close the two parts of the pom pom tool and then cut the yarn by passing the precision scissors blade through the cavity.

Cut a piece of wool about 20 cm long and pass it through the cavity of the tool. Then make a double knot, pulling tightly to allow the pompom to maintain its round shape.

Once the knot is made, separate the pom-pom from the tool and trim the pom-pom with a pair of scissors to give it a nice round shape

Cut out the following shapes from adhesive felt sheets :

- Two circles of Ø 2.5 cm 

- Two wings of 6.5 cm 

- One beak of 2 cm

Glue the two circles and the spout.

Convenient, no glue is needed because the felt is adhesive!

For the wings, only peel back a small portion of the protective film.

Then glue the wings.

Finally, glue two movable eyes Ø 1.8 cm onto the circles with white glue.
