Wool Hat and Pom-Pom

To make a nice hat you will need:

- a thick white card (A4 - 300 g/m²)

- a drawing gum marker

- drawing ink and a paintbrush

- a black marker

- a pair of scissors

- a hole punch

- a pompom maker

- a ball of yarn

Draw a large hat on a strong white card (A4 - 300 g/m²).

Draw the patterns of the hat using a drawing gum marker.

Let the masking gum dry for a few minutes.

Cover the cap with drawing ink in the color of your choice.

As you can see, the ink does not cover the decorated areas made with the drawing gum marker.

Once the ink is dry, rub the drawing gum patterns with your fingers to remove the thin layer of gum, revealing the white patterns.

Cut out the bonnet following the contours.

Make a hole at the top of the hat using a punch.

Take the 5.5 cm diamond pompom maker, layer the two parts, and then wrap the yarn around them.

Note: The more yarn you use, the denser the pompom will be.

Close the pompom tool and then cut the wool by sliding the scissors blade between the two parts of the tool.

Cut a piece of wool about 25 cm long, pass it between the two parts of the tool, then make a double knot, pulling tight to keep the pompom in shape.

Detach the pompon from the tool.

Pass the 2 pieces of yarn through the hole at the top of the hat and then make a double knot to be able to hang your creation.
