How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a pretty parrot, you will need:
- a small cardboard plate (Ø 15.8 cm)
- strips of crepe paper
- a googly eye (Ø 2.5 cm)
- paint and a brush
- a glue stick
- a stapler
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Cut a paper plate into 2 equal parts.
Step 2
Paint half of a half-plate yellow to create the parrot's beak.
Step 3
Cut about 20 pieces that are 3 cm wide from the strips of colored crepe paper.
Step 4
Glue the small rectangles of crepe paper onto the blank half-plate (curved side up and the rounded edge of the plate oriented the same way as the parrot's beak).
Start gluing from the bottom and gradually move up.
Step 5
Attach the head and body of the parrot using a stapler for a secure hold.
Step 6
Decorate the parrot's head with small rectangles of red crepe paper.
Again, start gluing from the bottom of the plate.
Step 7
Turn the parrot over and glue a few strips of crepe paper to create its tail.
Step 8
Finish your creation by gluing on a large googly eye.
