In this craft activity themed around Christmas, discover how to easily create a Santa Claus card!
Using just paper, children will combine cutting and gluing to make what can serve as a greeting card, for example.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
For this activity, you will need:
- Sheets of red, green, pink, and white paper
- Two movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm
- A white and black paint marker
- A pair of scissors
- A glue stick
Step 1:
To begin, fold a sheet of pink paper in half.
Step 2:
Cut out a rectangle measuring 8 x 15 cm from a sheet of red paper and then glue it onto the pink sheet.
Step 3:
On a sheet of white paper, cut out a rectangle measuring 2.5 x 15 cm and a rectangle measuring 8.5 x 15 cm (with a curved side to form the beard), and then glue them together like this.
Step 4 :
Draw a mouth with the black marker.
Step 5 :
From a sheet of white paper, cut out two mustaches about 10 cm long and then glue them.
Step 6:
Cut an oval nose measuring approximately 4.5 x 3 cm from a sheet of pink paper and then stick it on.
Step 7:
Cut and then glue two holly leaves.
Step 8:
Now cut out three circles of approximately Ø 1.5 cm from a red sheet of paper and glue them together, slightly overlapping.
Step 9:
Stick the two movable eyes Ø 2.5 cm.
Step 10:
And finally, draw a reflection on the three red circles and on Santa Claus's nose with a white paint marker.
