Materials
To make a prank chick you will need:
- a terracotta pot (Ø 7 cm)
- a colored plastic egg (6 cm)
- a wooden skewer
- colored round stickers
- eye stickers
- adhesive lace
- a small felt rose
- a fine-tipped black marker
- a pair of scissors
- adhesive dots
Step 1
Cut a 25 cm strip of adhesive lace and stick it to the top part of the pot.
Step 2
Decorate the pot with colored round stickers.
Tip: Cut some round stickers in half with a pair of scissors so that you can align them with the edges of the pot.
Step 3
Select a colored egg to create the chick.
Glue a felt rose onto the end of the egg without a hole using a glue dot.
Note: the hole is positioned at the bottom so that a wooden stick can be inserted into the egg later.
Step 4
Stick 2 googly eyes in the center of the egg.
Note: when the egg is placed in the terracotta pot, the eyes of the chick should not be visible.
Step 5
Cut out the chick's beak from a colored foam sticker and then draw small eyelashes using a fine-tipped black marker to enhance its cuteness.
Step 6
Place the egg on a wooden skewer. The wooden stick will allow you to get the chick in and out of the flower pot.
Note: you can cut the tip of the wooden skewer.
Step 7
Place the chick in the pot, ensuring that the wooden stick passes through the hole at the bottom of the terracotta pot.
Children will have fun taking the chick in and out of the pot like a puppet.
