How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a large snowman, you will need
- 2 polystyrene balls (Ø 10 cm)
- a wooden log (Ø 8 to 11 cm)
- snow effect dough
- a spatula
- 2 brown chenille stems
- 2 wiggle eyes
- a mini polystyrene carrot
- a small hat
- plastic buttons
- a black marker
- a glue gun
- a pair of scissors
Step 1
Glue a polystyrene ball to the center of the wooden log using a glue gun.
Step 2
Apply snow effect paste on the log using a small spatula.
Step 3
Glue 2 googly eyes and the small carrot onto the second polystyrene ball to create the snowman's face.
For the carrot, remove the tops to keep only the body.
Step 4
Draw the snowman's smile by making small dots with a black marker.
Step 5
Glue the head of the figure onto its body using the glue gun.
Tip: To strengthen the bond, you can attach the two balls to a small wooden skewer or a toothpick.
Step 6
Glue 3 plastic buttons onto the body of the snowman.
Step 7
Cut a brown pipe cleaner into 2 pieces of 15 cm to create the base of the arms for the figure. Then cut 2 small pieces of pipe cleaner and wrap them around the ends of the arms to create a branch effect.
Next, insert the 2 pipe cleaners into the foam ball, making sure to orient them upwards.
Tip: Make 2 holes in the foam with a toothpick before inserting the pipe cleaners.
Step 8
Place the small felt hat on the end of a pipe cleaner to give the impression that the snowman is "tipping his hat".
