This simple and fun craft is perfect for children aged 3 and up. They will have the opportunity to learn to paint with foam stamps, a fun technique that will give an original look to their creations.
The second part of the activity involves gluing the tree leaves and wooden discs to create a beautiful autumn tableau that will enhance your home as autumn arrives.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- a wooden squirrel
- a round wooden base (Ø 20 cm)
- acrylic paint (light green, dark green)
- a painter's palette
- foam stamps
- wooden washers
- tree leaf stickers
- a tube of strong white glue
- a picture frame hook
Step 1
Put light green and dark green paint in a palette, then dab the round wooden surface, alternating the colors to achieve a lovely textured background.
Allow the paint to dry for about 30 minutes.
Step 2
Glue the wooden squirrel in the center of the round base.
Note: The beautiful light brown color of the MDF wood contrasts perfectly with the green background of the board, which is why we chose not to paint the squirrel.
Step 3
Decorate the edge of the round support by gluing small wooden discs and glittery tree leaf stickers.
Step 4
Glue a fastener to the back of the board so you can hang your lovely creation.
Tip: attach the frame fastener by adding a dot of strong white glue.
