Surprise Pumpkin to Fill with Candy
For Halloween, children will be able to decorate a lovely pumpkin with tissue paper and glue, then fill it with delicious candies and chocolates!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To make a surprise pumpkin, you will need:
- a large polystyrene pumpkin (in 2 parts)
- orange tissue paper
- glue and a brush
- a sturdy black card
- a pair of scissors
- 2 2.5 cm movable eyes
- adhesive dots
- candies / chocolates
Step 1
Cut approximately 60 squares of orange tissue paper measuring 5 x 5 cm.
Step 2
Apply glue varnish to the surface of the pumpkin with a brush, then stick on the squares of tissue paper. Apply another layer of glue varnish over each glued paper square.
Once the surface is fully covered, allow to dry for a few hours.
Step 3
Glue 2 large googly eyes onto the pumpkin using adhesive dots.
Step 4
Cut out the nose and mouth of the pumpkin from a black cardstock and then stick them on using adhesive dots.
Step 5
Fill the pumpkin with candies and then fit the two parts together.
Tip: use adhesive dots to assemble the two parts of the pumpkin.
Step 6
Insert the pumpkin stem into the polystyrene to complete your creation.
