How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity you will need:
- a large wooden log (Ø 14 cm)
- a small wooden log (Ø 7 cm)
- a half-sphere of polystyrene (Ø 9.5 cm)
- brown paint and a brush
- a black marker
- eye stickers
- wooden matches
- a wooden skewer
- decorative mushrooms
- a glue gun
Step 1
Paint the half-sphere of polystyrene with brown acrylic paint.
Step 2
Glue 2 eye stickers on the small wooden log, then draw a small nose and a pretty smile with a black marker to finish the hedgehog's head.
Step 3
Glue the half-sphere onto the large wooden log (near the edge), then glue the hedgehog's head onto its body using the glue gun.
Step 4
Use a wooden skewer to make holes in the half-sphere of polystyrene.
This will make it easier to insert the wooden matches into the polystyrene in the next step!
Step 5
Insert the wooden matches into the holes to create the hedgehog's spikes.
Step 6
Glue small decorative mushrooms on the edge using the glue gun.
Note: For the small mushrooms, you need to remove the metal stem by simply pulling it out before gluing them.
