Butterfly Drawing Gum and Ink
Want to introduce children to an original painting technique while creating a lovely colored butterfly for spring?
Also known as masking fluid, the drawing gum technique will allow white patterns to appear on the paper once the ink is applied. A magical effect for children!

How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To make a butterfly, you will need:
– a "butterfly" template print here
– a strong white card (A4 – 300 g/m²)
– a drawing gum marker
– drawing ink and brushes
– a pair of scissors
– a pencil
Step 2:
Using the template, draw the outline of the butterfly on the thick white paper.
Step 3:
Draw geometric shapes inside the butterfly using the drawing gum marker.
Step 4:
Once the drawing gum is dry, color the butterfly with drawing ink.
Step 5:
Once the ink is completely dry, rub and remove the blue "film" left by the drawing gum using your fingers to reveal your patterns.
Step 6:
Finally, cut out the shape of the butterfly.
