In this easy Halloween tutorial, we will learn how to draw colorful monsters with chalk!
Children only need to draw colored lines with chalk on a sheet and complete the drawing with googly eyes.
A fun and playful activity, accessible from the age of 3!
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials:
To create a chalk monster, you will need:
- Chalks
- A thick black sheet of paper
- Googly eyes Ø 1.2 cm; Ø 1.8 cm and Ø 2.5 cm
- White glue
- A pair of scissors
- Fixative spray for crayons, charcoal, and pastels
- White adhesive putty
Step 1:
To start, draw lines with different colored chalks to create the shape of a monster.
Step 2:
Gently spread the chalk with your finger from the center outwards on the sheet.
Step 4:
Fix the chalk with a fixative spray for charcoal.
Upon application, the colors will slightly darken and then brighten again as they dry.
Step 5:
Cut out the mouth of the monster from another sheet of black paper.
Step 6:
Once the fixative is dry, glue on the googly eyes and the monster's mouth with white glue.
Step 6:
Repeat all the steps, changing the colors, the shapes of the mouths, as well as the number and arrangement of the eyes!
Then use adhesive putty to stick your little monsters' creations on the walls.
