In this Easter activity, we will show you how to create beautiful Easter eggs using the technique of crepe paper painting.
With a thick cardboard egg, crepe paper, water, and a satin ribbon, children will be able to create stunning colored eggs for a successful Easter decoration!
This easy and fun craft activity will give them the opportunity to unleash their imagination and compose lovely color mixtures.
How to complete this tutorial step by step?
Materials
To carry out this activity, you will need:
- cardboard eggs
- crepe paper rolls
- a water reservoir brush
- satin bows
- scissors
- adhesive dots
- a precision tweezers
Step 1
Start by cutting small squares of crepe paper using a pair of scissors.
Step 2
Fill a water brush and then place the squares of crepe paper onto the cardboard egg one by one, lightly moistening them with the water brush.
Tip: Do not use too much water, as it may complicate the removal of the crepe paper in Step 4.
Step 3
Repeat the step until the egg is fully covered with crepe paper.
Step 4
Gently remove the squares of crepe paper with your fingers or using a precision tweezers.
You will achieve a beautiful blend of colors / tie-dye effect.
Step 5
Next, decorate your egg with a pretty satin bow using an adhesive dot.
